Meet Coach G

Hello, I am Coach Guillaume “G” Meli and I help young players build confidence and grow 1% each day by focusing on soccer fundamentals, while keeping the game fun and engaging.

As a former NCAA Division III Empire 8 soccer player and Elmira College alumnus, I bring first-hand collegiate-level experience to every training session. My journey began playing in the streets of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, before my family migrated to Burlington, Vermont. There, I joined the Edmunds Middle School soccer team and the Burlington Catamounts club program, later continuing at Rice Memorial High School in South Burlington, where I started and competed for three years on the varsity team by sharpening both my competitiveness, skills, and fundamentals. Today, as an active member of United Soccer Coaches, I remain committed to advancing coaching methods and supporting youth player development both on and off the field.

Playing & Coaching Background:

Rice Memorial High School (South Burlington, VT): Played and started for 3 years of Varsity soccer, competing at a high level and earning recognition as a defender.

Elmira College Men’s Soccer (Class of 2013): Competed in the NCAA Division III Empire 8 Conference as a defender with the Soaring Eagles.
